Sarah is an Associate at nagel + associates. She is a CPA with experience in a broad range of industries including health-care, manufacturing, telecommunications and the not-for-profit sector. She has worked with companies of all sizes from startup to multinational Fortune 500.

Sarah specializes in financial accounting, financial analysis and corporate compliance. Her career thus far has given her a robust understanding of financial reporting, internal controls and accounting systems. Her experience includes gathering and analyzing financial data, identifying risks of misstatement, preparing financial forecasts, cash flow projections and financial reporting for key stakeholders.

Prior to joining nagel + associates, Sarah worked as Financial Controller for the Canadian affiliate of an International Not-For-Profit Organization which deploys military veterans to provide humanitarian aid and disaster relief around the world. Sarah’s thorough understanding of financial reporting and internal controls enabled her to strengthen the internal controls of the Canadian affiliate, ensuring more accurate and timely financial reporting for key stakeholders. This included creating proper segregation of duties, implementing controls surrounding expense reports, and improving month-end financial reporting processes across all accounts.

Sarah has completed her Masters of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc) at the University of Toronto and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).  Sarah graduated with distinction from Concordia and McGill University where she received her Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma in Chartered Professional Accountancy. In addition to her studies, Sarah enjoys mentoring and teaching accounting students at the bachelors and graduate level to help them achieve their educational goals.
